Feature Release
For this class (Public Relations) the assignment was to write a feature release on behalf of a publication. I chose Vogue as I’ve always had an interest in Fashion and beauty. I decided to write about Vaishali S also known as Vaishali Shadangule because as a South Asian woman it’s inspiring to see another South Asian woman challenge society in so many ways. Her New York Fashion Week showcase not only challenges Eurocentric standards but also South Asian beauty standards, by disrupting what beauty means by featuring Reshma Qureshi who is an acid attack survivor.
